August 2011 through May 2012. Bowling League and free bowling for kids, For wheelchair users the first 4 nights are free League is open to both disabled and able bowlers. Bring a friend! WWSA co-sponsors a bowling league at AMF Bowlero Lanes in Wauwatosa on Friday nights during the fall and winter. Sign up to bowl as a substitute or you can join as a regular league member. The first 4 nights are free for new wheelchair bowlers in the league. Even if you want to bowl once a month or so, you are encouraged to come out and bowl with us. Able-bodied bowlers are allowed to bowl also, bring along a friend or spouse. We also sponsor free bowling for kids during the year, with bowling, food and beverages paid for by WWSA. MONTHLY TEXAS HOLD-EM TOURNAMENTS Second Sunday of the Month No Limit Texas Hold-em Tournament $20 entry fee. We pay out 75% of the entry fee and give cash prizes for 20% of the field. There is a $10 rebuy if you bust out before the 1st hour is up. 25% of the prize money goes to fund our wheelchair events. Second Sunday of the month at The Nice Ash Cigar Bar, Waukesha. March 4, 2012; 26th Annual Bowling Bash The Daryl Pfister Memorial Bowling Bash:, a bowling event where able bodied people bowl from a wheelchair.
The purpose of the event is to help raise funds to support wheelchair sports at the local, regional and national levels, and more importantly, to promote public awareness that a person confined to a wheelchair can compete in all aspects of everyday life, be productive, and to show this in a proactive way by having able bodied persons bowl from a wheelchair.
FORMAT - 5 Person Teams - 3 Divisions: Men’s, Women’s and Mixed - $200.00 Entry Fee per Team - $40.00 Entry Fee per person (bowlers without a full team will be paired with other individuals) - DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE, as we are a 501(3) tax exempt, non-profit organization - 3 Games (all to be bowled from a wheelchair). All bowlers will receive strikes in the 3rd, 6th and 9th frames. Wheelchairs will be provided.
BENEFITS: Free – 3 pitchers of beer or soda, per team, during bowling. Free – beer, soda and food in the banquet room after bowling. Free – T shirt for each participant

June 2012; 8th Annual Art Lepp Memorial Fishing Event on Lake Michigan Sign up for an afternoon of Fishing on Lake Michigan in a charter fishing boat. Three wheelchairs per charter boat, and companions are welcome as space allows. A $20 reservation fee is required to hold your reservation, which will be refunded when you show up for the fishing event. All other costs are covered by WWSA.
