Gary Schwingle, Joe Bilansky, John Martinson, Al Neu, Doug Bureta, Charlie Ande, Daryl Pfister, Mike Little and his Mom, were among the disabled WWSA members who took part in a half day fishing event on Lake Michigan Saturday June 24, 2006. Calm weather and partly cloudy skies meant that they were in for a beautiful fishing day. Four boats loaded up the 11 disabled fishermen and 8 helpers for a fun day chasing salmon and lakers. The event was free for all of the WWSA members, and a bag meal was included to keep hunger pains away. The charter boat captains did their best to find the fish, but it was a slow day for two of the boats. All told, 16 fish were caught by the tired but happy group.

WWSA welcomes members and non-members to come out for the 2007 fishing event June 23. A $20 deposit will hold your spot and is returned when you show up for the event.
