The Wisconsin Wheelchair Sports Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that works to provide sports activities to wheelchair users across the state. We sponsor bowling, fishing, basketball, skiing, and other sports activities that help to improve the spirit, attitude, and quality of life for people who are required to use a wheelchair.

Set up and run by people who use wheelchairs, we are especially in tune with the needs and desires of wheelchair users.

“WHEELS ACROSS WISCONSIN Outdoor Camp for physically disabled urban teens”

The Wisconsin Wheelchair Sports Association (WWSA) and Rock Creek Disabled Outdoors (RCDO) are working together to offer “Wheels Across Wisconsin”, a three season outdoor experience for disabled urban kids and young adults. We have a combined Fall, Spring, and Summer Camp Program in Willard, Wisconsin, for 6 physically disabled teens and their guardians.

The program is free to qualified participants. It is funded by several grants and includes lodging, food, and gas money. We have a wheelchair accessible resort reserved for the participants, with roll in showers, accessible kitchens, and covered outdoor patio areas. There is a wheelchair accessible restaurant /bar that will supply food for the participants. The outdoor programs will be held on a 240 acre wooded parcel that has more than 3 miles of hard packed gravel paths that are well suited for manual or power chairs. A mileage reimbursement will be included to help defray travel costs to the resort.
